In case anyone's wondering what to get Miss Mira for her first Christmas, I've started two different wish lists at Amazon.com. One is for all the toys she wants and one the other is for all the books she just has to have. :) If you want to find some cute outfits instead, she is in 12-18 month clothes right now.

Fun with Jack
Mira got to play with Jack during the Big Twelve game on Saturday night. They were the only ones enjoying themselves that night. They kept us entertained in between the field goals and loud outbursts from Brent and Reid. They had a lot of fun together until Jack decided to jump on her. She survived and I think he was more upset than she was. Fun times!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
This weekend Mira got to meet Santa for the first time! Monte's work had a children's holiday party Saturday afternoon. We got Mira all bundled up so we could go take her picture, looking terrified on Santa's lap.
It went better than expected but we kind of cheated and tried both Santa's out. There was one in two different rooms, seemed confusing to me. Not sure how you explain that to the little ones. Monte told a boy that it was Santa's brother. :)
She was scared at first and wanted nothing to do with him but then calmed down a bit for me to take another picture. It was quick and painless. As you can see, she was worn out from all the anxiety of meeting the big man in red.
I also bought her a Christmas dress and had her try it out for some pictures tonight. So cute! She's all ready for Christmas.

Nine Months!
We can't believe it has been nine months already. I know I'm missing the warmth Mira brought me last year at this time. One positive thing about being pregnant during the Winter months. Now we cuddle each night for her bedtime bottle. Just as sweet!
November seemed to fly by for us. Mira is a pro at crawling now. She's quicker than we realize and the cat is not thrilled but she tolerates her. Just today we discovered that she has learned to say kitty. She looks over the edge of our bed scoping out those kitties. Although I was a little disappointed it wasn't Mama, I am excited to hear something over than DaDa. She is definitely a daddy's girl!
We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Mira brings so much laughter and joy to our family. We enjoyed seeing everyone this past weekend. Mira was exhausted from all the hugs and kisses.
She has her nine-month check-up this Friday, we can't wait to see what she weighs. She's still quite the eater. We've been slowly introducing finger foods this last month. She loves cucumber slices and cheese.
Her favorite activities at the moment are playing with her pink soccer ball, splashing in the tub, chasing the kitties and reading books. She is such a happy little girl. Won't be long and we'll be celebrating her first birthday!
