Back to Work...

Well, my vacation is over and daycare has begun. Today was not a happy day for mommy but Mira handled it really well. First off, she slept through the night and then went right back to sleep after her 6 a.m. bottle. I was able to shower and get ready without any interruptions.

She was very good for Mary, our daycare provider. Everyone fell in love with her there and couldn't believe what a good baby she is. I'm sure she enjoyed her day and got to meet lots of friends.

I had to watch the minutes tick by at work until I could go rescue her, not that she needed rescuing. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning. Everyone says it gets easier. I hope so because I can't handle much more of this!!

Here are some pictures to help brighten my day and yours...

Our First Mother's Day!

I am so lucky to be able to celebrate Mother's Day this year. Mira is the best gift! We spent the weekend camping at Mahoney State Park. Mira's first official camping experience. She was so relaxed that she slept the entire weekend. There's nothing better than napping in the warm sunlight with the view of trees blowing in the wind. Needless to say, it went very well. We hope to go a lot this year.

On Sunday, Mira and I attended our first Mommy and Baby Yoga class. It was so much fun. She was awake for the entire class and then passed out right at the end. She was calm and centered the rest of the day. ;)

Monte and Mira got me some garden tools for Mother's Day. Overall it was a perfect day. Now it's Monte's turn to celebrate daddy day!

Update from Mommy

Mira is two months old! Can you believe it? Time is going way too fast. I only have three and a half more weeks home with her. I am already starting to get sad. I know it will be good for her to go to daycare and learn some social skills. It's just going to be tough on mommy.

Speaking of tough, Mira had her immunization shots on Friday. Not a very fun activity on your two month birthday. She was a trooper and only cried for a bit. It was harder on me. Monte swooped in and rescued her from the evil shots. She got weighed and measured and is nearly 12 pounds!! She is definitely our little chunky monkey. She is 23" long now too. Growing like a weed.

Two Months!

Look what I can do...

SMILE! :)
