My Little Helper in the Garden

Since I am lazy and haven't updated the blog for nearly two months now, I better get to it! These photos were taken May 21 in our backyard. Mira loves to help me water the flowers.

Children's Museum

For my birthday weekend, I decided to take Mira to the Children's Museum. This was our first visit so Mira was a little hesitant at first. Once she got over her timidness, we had lots of fun. She loved splashing in the water, grocery shopping and chasing after the balls. She also enjoyed seeing the farm animals and listening to their animal noises. They looked a little too real because she was scared to touch the cow. We can't wait until the Clifford exhibit opens.

I can't believe how grown up she looks in these photos. My baby is turning into a little girl. She loves to rock her baby now. :)

First Steps and More

Our Little Swimmer

Mira is getting sooo BIG!

What has Mira been up to lately?

Well, it has been a while since I've made an update. The days are flying by this Spring. We celebrated Easter with an Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood park. Mira was more interested with the sand than finding the eggs. She did enjoy her Easter basket but was not a happy camper when her eggs toppled out of the basket.

She has perfected walking and climbing up and down the stairs. We've finally had to start baby-proofing the house because she is into everything. I follow her from one mess to the next throughout the house. The toddler years are going to be a blast!

Last weekend she developed quite the attachment to her baby doll she got for her birthday. She has to have it everywhere we go. It's pretty adorable. Erin and Sammie picked out a keeper!

She is also learning where all her body parts are. She loves to lift her shirt and show us her belly button. We also heard her first animal noise this weekend, which was a moo. All animals she sees now require a moo. As far as words go, besides mama and dada, she says na na a lot when she wants something. We hear that one a lot! She surprised us with dog and ball but only once.

We've also been taking her to swim lessons once a week at our community center. She loves the water and the other kids. Last week we went under twice!

She still loves to read and be outside. We can't wait to take her camping this Summer.

Mira's Walking!

It's official...Mira is walking! I don't know if you can quite consider it walking but she has started taking steps. Saturday she took two steps to me and then Sunday she took three steps to Monte. Ever since then, she is getting braver and braver and will take off from the ottoman and take several steps before tumbling. It's the funniest sight, our little drunken monkey. I hope to catch some on video to share with everyone. It might be time to step up the baby-proofing now that she's mobile. :)
